That’s why we established the Adobe Fund for Design. With Adobe Express, we are on a mission to support talented individuals, emerging teams and entrepreneurs who are pushing the boundaries of existing apps and workflows.
The fund is here to support developers to build on the Adobe Express platform and grow our thriving and interconnected developer ecosystem.
Ideal Candidates:
✅ Are interested in building add-ons for Adobe Express (also known as plugins, extensions or integrations in other products) within the next 1-2 months
✅ Have new ideas for Adobe Express Add-ons that will help the creative community, focused on the priority use cases listed below
What we’re looking for
The priority for the Adobe Fund for Design is on the below use cases, but we welcome other add-on ideas.
We will update the list of use cases every ~2 months
Import Images
- Import bitmap images for use in Adobe Express Design, either from a browsable library or through generating assets from user input in your add-on
- Express users are interested in a wide variety of styles of illustrations, photos, backgrounds, icons, and other flat-image assets.
Export
- Export the user’s design for use in email communication, for instance an email advertisement, newsletter, or event invitation, likely by converting their design to HTML.
- Adobe Express is popular among marketing teams who want to add expressivity to their email campaigns, but they need help completing their workflow.
AI Guidance
- Your add-on analyzes an Adobe Express page or document and provides feedback to the user to improve their design, for instance suggesting font pairings, color combinations, layout changes, and more
- Since Adobe Express is often used for marketing material and social media posts, users are eager to optimize their design to better reach and resonate with their audience.
Accessibility
- Your add-on analyzes an Adobe Express page or document and provides feedback to the user to make their design more accessible
- Express users need help checking color contrast, readability, and other elements of the design for compliance with standard web accessibility guidelines.

Who can apply to the Adobe Fund for Design?
Anyone can apply to the fund, including individuals, entrepreneurs and small businesses. You do not need to identify as a developer (in fact we think tech savvy designers can build add-ons). You can also work as a team or hire a developer.
Is there a deadline to apply?
Please submit your application ASAP as all submissions and grants are on a first come, first serve basis.
What do I need to prepare to apply for the grant?
Please fill out the application with as much detail as possible to convey your add-on idea. We do not require a detailed technical explanation, but your idea must be technically feasible for Adobe Express.
